I had a dream two nights ago. In my dream, I was a desperate aspiring novelist who tried writing her first novel but could not go beyond the first paragraph. This paragraph was vivid and verbatim. Yes, I want to write a novel, but I feel I can never write one. Do you think this paragraph has a potential? Are there writers who rely on dreams for their stories? Are dreams fictions in graphic form?

"Every Friday that came with the sudden rush of doubts was a torture. It was the day my husband, ten years my junior, locked himself in the art studio with a retired ballerina, his portrait subject, his painting muse. Once they were inside, I had no idea what occurred or what they did. I was not a passive, battered wife. Yes, it hurt, but I could not complain because I allowed it. I was the one who found Maya. I befriended her. I arranged their meeting. I paid for her expenses and charges. I assured her it was alright with me. It had always been this way since I married Sebastian."

I don't see what you wrote as having to do with a dream. And a graphic fiction has to do with graphics. Not a dream unless the graphics are the product of the dream.
I think you simply don't have a story because you don't have an ongoing conflict with Sebastian. What else are you going to say? You allowed, you brought in the friend, you paid the expenses and the charges, and now all you have is doubts which are not even specific and subject to experiment. Maybe you are simply happy with things as they are. And why not? You cannot force being a writer.
