I do not customarily sit for writing poetry
For poetry does not flow from me the way prose does.
But when passion overflows I cannot help
My prose cannot contain the bulk of my feelings
Poetry sounds a tad unreal and fantastic
Words go unrestraint and sentences loose
Art somewhat unwieldy
I wield my sensations and veins as they well up inside me
Sometimes poetry rings inside me
I run short of words
I take to metaphors and things go unsaid
Ideas tacit
Yet I live in my poems embryonically
The reader who reads it seductively only
Becomes drunk
I do write poetry to intoxicate
Or else it does not give you the soup of life

I wrote this poem as it emerged inside me. Unpainted and untainted. I may lack stylistic maneuvers but it cascaded from the deep pool of my feelings. I want your comments.

Glory, this is so spontaneous, genuine and - beautiful to read and to read aloud. I agree it could be polished here and there (like it should be "poetry ringS inside me" plus some other minor editing), but I felt so good sensing what you've sensed while writing that I can only say "thank you", which I do. Best of all

blazeofglory I personally think you should write poetry more.
This is a lovely piece and I enjoyed reading it.

I agree with this sentiment completely! I think it's a glorious verse; honest, sorta brutal in a way... I reckon it's pretty epic (:

I am so much excited and in fact I did not expect applause. I just wanted people to read and respond critically. This really motivates me to write more and more. Thank you so much for your inspiring words!!!
