Hi all,
I joined this forum because I was looking for a place to discuss all the classic literature I like to read, but I was amazed to see all the philosophy that was being discussed. I love philosophy, and am excited to read some the works I seen mentioned, so I can join in the discussions. I'm, also, interested in posting some short stories I wrote on here. I think I'm going to like this site.
Here's a list of my favorite books, so people can understand what I'm interested in.
1984 and Animal Farm - George Orwell
Walden - Henry David Thoreau
The Road - Cormac McCarthy
Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte
All Shakespeare and Hemingway (Macbeth and The Old Man and the Sea are my favorites though)
There are a lot of others I like, but these are ones that really stuck with me. Also, I read a lot of non-fiction books about history, and scholarly articles from academic journals concerning international politics and recent history. I am trying to read some science books, but haven't put near the effort into them that I should be.
