What are the compares and contrasts between Hamlet and The Spanish Tragedy?

I've read both of these, but I'm still confused why Shakespeare write Hamlet similarly to The Spanish Tragedy, the difference is only that Hamlet takes revenge for his father and Hieronimo for his son. Anyone can help me?
