How do I know I'm good
Really,
truly
good?
There's no greater knowledge -
nothing of the like
than knowing you're
indisputably good
irrefutably good
even just suitably good
yet so much more than 'polite'.
Should my friends light up when I enter a room,
swarm around me like moths to halogen glow-
wrap their arms round my shoulder,
make sure I know?
Is it seen in my eyes?
Felt by people -
An unexpressed,
certain
instinct to the wise?
Where do I look
where are the signs -
that I'm a good person,
that I'm just fine?
