I gaze at you
I see through you
how shall I begin to view
the many things we said we'll do?

I feel I have to tell it true
the meanings that sustain are clues
without you life is slightely blue
with you the time is always due

you fell from grace
I have no faith
I must pick up
the world you left
the pieces must become the face
I shall embrace

my words are through
I shall pursue
my quests in lieu
anything else remains
but you

Hi cacian, thanks for sharing that. i would like to paraphrase your poem to make sure I understood it . I imagine you talking to your wife of several years and saying this to her:

"We have a commitment to a long term relationship but frankly, you are not beautiful anymore and you have always depended on me psychologically ; This makes me feel pressured and resentful . Even if i knew how to, I dont really want the responsibility and the burden of making it work for you and me; I have plans and projects and i really dont need you that much and therefore I decided to claim my freedom and my independece of you "

Valid! Its scary to have to do something specially when we are not feeling up to it anymore.
