My Mate and I

Among the agony of gale and sand
And crying weeds in the heart of the desert
Where the herd kneels and patiently dies
Beside the dry bones of the camel man
And dark clouds beyond the mountain
Struggles to weep
Over the choppy lips of the dying ground
Where life galloped away from that cursed hole
My mate and I moved through the darkness
Holding hands and gifting gloomy smiles
Stepping on the greedy weeds with bare feet
And deserted dreams
Singing the melody of lost hopes
Let’s depart to that city
Beyond the parched mountains and thirsty stones
We may find a better place
People, joy, love and life
No darkness would ever reside
In that vast realm
We moved
Nights
And nights
When we got there
We found lifeless people and pale joy
Banned love and still life
I have experienced birth and death
I would be glad to have another death
Back in that hole
Holding hands we went back
Lay and waited
Me and solitude
