These words will not outlast the rocks
but sometimes I think of the darkness before birth
the depths we emerge from to face life
are the same for everything
the universe was the first birth
then the stars and our sky
and death brings a return
to that same infinite well
of primordial energy
in this well there is no beginning
and there is no end
everything exists at once
in a divine ritual
from this
the flowers blossom
with all the grace and beauty
of a slug
the beauty is present in the plan
everything knows its place
and operates accordingly
this is the origin and this is the end
all at once and for eternity
It is all so magnificent
and equally as meaningless

I feel like this is not an original thought - as if it had already been spoken, at least with these words. The challenge is always to frame something in a new way.

Delta is somehow right, nevertheless your text has impact... I just can't agree with the "meaningless."

I believe similar beliefs have been expressed. What I described some people would call God. Robinson Jeffers wrote about life on Earth, Earth, the Universe in a very mystical way. I would be lying to say he didn't influence this poem but these were individual thoughts of mine that only now can I put into words.

Individual thoughts maybe - but it's prose cut up into lines rather than poetry.
