Very nice, hallaig. I love the double meanings given to words when you screw them up, or when viewing old and lost styles in the modern days light.
It reminds me of William Barnes;
"News o' grief had overteaken
Dark-eyed Fanny, now vorseaken;
There she zot, wi' tears a-creepen
Down her cheaks, in bitter weepen...."
Very enjoyable, and it goes well with the pint of ale in my mug.
Cheers.

You give me a headache or I need to learn Scotish (once I know the language I spare myself the headache! :banghead: ) -well done, it's almost melodious! A what a great idea to comment on Greeks in Scotish!

:smilielol5: Fun piece... an unexpected... and humorous... take on the Diana and Acteon story. And the Scottish makes sense for those who recognize that the painting, Diana and Acteon (or Diana Surprised at her Bath) along with Diana and Callisto... two of the greatest paintings by the Italian Renaissance master, Titian, were long held in Scotland as part of the Bridgewater Collection and on loan to the National Galleries of Scotland. Recently, due to the lure of the booming international art market, the owner, the Duke of Sutherland, cashed in... attempting to sell the paintings on the open market. Both were purchased in tandem by the National Gallery of Scotland and the National Gallery of Art, London for approximately $50 Million US each.

I wish I knew enough to be able to determine if the OP is exceedingly clever or appallingly stupid. Still, I don't think I've ever seen stlukes complement someone's poetry on here, so I'm thinking it must be pretty amazing.

I'm thinking of starting a competition for the subject or mood or dialect in which Hallaig could NOT write with wit and fluency!
