Within his trajectory field of vision Sid caught a view of a land stretching back for miles. The land looked different, remote, set behind a bright sunlight.
He could see shapes and figures moving. He squinted to try and capture something familiar but just could not make out what it was. He hesitated then decided to get closer. The closer he got, the further away the images went. He felt a warm breeze blowing gently towards him as if enticing him to get even more closer. He could still see the intense silhouettes glittering in the horizon.
Was it a daydream, his imagination or distant memories coming back?
He stood still. He sensed familiarity in the air. The vividness of the movements, the colours, the sound , everything around him, were almost tangible.
Sid had often thought about travelling back in time to his childhood. He had fond memories of him as a child.
He would often relive scenes of from the past. He could hear words, sounds of laughter, and see those very special moments he had shared with everyone he knew. He had been a very popular child.
A sudden light droplet of dew, from a nearby tree fell down his face and ran on his eye and cheeks jolting him back to reality.
Sid thought he could come back tomorrow and bring his camera.
Would it still be there the place he had just seen or would it have gone by the time it was tomorrow?
