Please share some pics too.
Mine has got to go to Robert Crumb the founder of the underground comics movement.
Robert Dennis Crumb (born August 30, 1943)—known as Robert Crumb and R. Crumb—is an American artist, illustrator, and musician recognized for the distinctive style of his drawings and his critical, satirical, subversive view of the American mainstream.[1]
Here is a couple of his drawings

I remember reading Crumb's The Yum Yum Book long ago which was about a frog who meets a giant girl. I think they ultimately lived happily ever after, but I can't remember. It makes me wonder in which box I placed the thing.

Hehe incredible story I hope you do find the book :p
The Yum Yum story does reminds me of Shrek.
I think lots of its drawings are based on Crumb's actually ;)

Surely this should be titled ' favourite comic cartoonist'.
In which case mine would be Jak, a brilliant man with a pencil who made a lot of money from selling his original drawings to the famous and soi-disant in his cartoons which are among the most sophisticated since the genre was invented. The scourge of hypocrisy and especially the silliness of left-leaning attitudes, he nailed every facet of the British and also foreigners with unerring accuracy. This is one of dozens that strike at the root of social dilemmas.
The caption reads: "I think the police have removed the hooligan element from the stands."
