I was just watching the big lebowski. The Cohen Brothers are great. You ever see Fargo. That's a great movie. I also like that movie they made called the man who wasn't there. It was in black and white. Speaking of black and white are you a fan of French new wave films. Particularly the work of Jean Luc Godard. His movie Breathless is one of the best ever. I also like Federico Fellini. His older movies have such a great dream like quality to them. How about those Japs. Akira Kurosawa is easily another of my favorite directors. Did you know he painted story boards for his movies before he started filming? Did you know George Lucas got the idea for Star Wars from Kurosawas movie the Hidden Fortress. Did you know that the 1960 western film The Magnificent Seven, featuring names like Steve McQueen, Yul Brynner and Charles Bronson was adapted from Kurosawas The Seven Samurai. Also Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns Fistful of Dollars and a For A Few Dollars More was also based on Kurosawas unforgettable masterpiece Yojimbo. Did you know that Yojimbo mean bodyguard in Japanese. Yojimbo, that sounds like something they would say down at the shore. Yo gym bro. Haha haha get, get it? One of my new favorites is Jim Jarmusch. Classic director with such hits as Down By Law staring Tom Waits, Stranger Than Paradise, Coffee and Cigarettes, Ghost Dog Way Of The Samurai and Broken Flowers staring Bill****ingMurray. And I almost forgot Night On Earth. That was a great movie. The movie is in 5 segments. Each in a different city in a cab at night. You go from L.A to New York To Paris to Rome to Helsinki. Anyway in the Roma segment Roberto Beigini is the cab driver. Famous Italian actor perhaps best known for his preformance in the heartbreaking film La Bella Vita. Roughly meaning the Beautiful Life. Anyway in the scene Roberto picks up a priest. He tells the priest he must confess. The priest says it is not the right forum but he insists. So he tells him a story about how when he was young he started making love to pumpkins. Big round warm plump pumpkins. Soon that got old and he notes that you need something that is alive. So he soon meets a sheep. Soft wool beautiful eyes. The most beautiful eyes. Soon they fall in love. Now the sheep follows him around everywhere. His father catches on and sells the sheep to the butcher. Sometime later he ****s his brothers wife. Her *** he says reminded him of the pumpkin her wool panties of the sheep. It was heaven.
