I need help finding a set of stories that was published in the Saturday Evening Post. I heard about it from my father and here are the specifics that he can remember.
--Plot: The main character set out in the morning with some small, worthless item, but he knew someone who needed it. He'd always trade and never sell and would progressively increase the value of his items until he came home that evening with incredible results.
--There were at least 2 or 3 stories (maybe more) and they ran in the Saturday Evening Post, most likely in the 1950's
--The main character was named "Scipio" but this may have been a first name or last name.
--His wife might have been named "Polly".
--The author may have been a female.
--All the these points of information are drawn from memory and may not be exactly accurate.
Any help identifying these stories or (ultimately) finding a way to read them would be much appreciated.
