Melancholy Blue

If you open
casually
the door of melancholy blue
you'll spot
a classroom of restless monkey boys
their spit has flooded
the weak voice of truth

Or a school of fish-bellied crows
quarreling with one another
over minnows
when the huge whale of gold
swims everywhere unnoticed

I enjoyed the last two lines, but the poem as a whole didn't really work for me. Too free-associative.
