Hi, this is my first time posting the new thread in this website. In my English class, we are doing some projects on the book Their Eyes Were Watching God. And in the project, I need to find out 2-3 metaphors in Chapters 16 to 20. But it's hard to find good metaphors in this chapter. So can you guys give some good metaphors in these chapters, along with Pg numbers and possibly the explanations on those metaphors?

Heh, sorry, but... When they told you that you might get help at this website (is that what happened?), they didn't mean that a number of us would surely own that book and that we ourselves would also have been curious about what metaphors those particular chapters might contain. I mean, I think I'm right about this--but I guess it's worth a shot.

The frog on page 121 in chapter 17 is a metaphor for man's rise from the primorial ooze...or it's just a frog. Do your homework kid.
