I Wish I Was A Superhero

I wish that I could swing like Spiderman
Between the towering skyscrapers
I would drink beer, stout, and cider man
As papers record my webby capers

I wish I was Batman with many cool toys
Loaded by day and sneaky at night
When I would employ all my tricky ploys
I'd sure give those crooks a fright

I wish I had a suit of armour like Ironman
That would allow me to fly up high
I'd shoot rockets and lasers - no lyin' man
And I'd write my name in the sky

I wish I could be the Green Lantern fellow
With my Ring to turn villains nuts
I'd make all those supercreeps turn yellow
As I kicked them hard in the butts

And I wish I could be The Incredible Hulk
All big, muscly, and bright greens
They'd all run away at the sight of my bulk
But I'd stomp hard on the fiends

I wish I could be that bloke they call Flash
I'd always be first and never last
And run round catching felons in a red dash
Cuz I'd do everything super fast

This is a super-treat by our forum's superhero MystyrMystyry (and I think it's a perfect name for a mysterious superhero). Loved the way you used different colors for each stanza, matching to the costumes of each hero.

Only my eyes could not read those light green lines in the second last stanza. Can you fix that MM?

No, I'm no superhero, I just do what's what's relatively easy to avoid doing what's relatively difficult.

But then again, yeah, maybe I am a bit of a superhero - but so must be you!

There is a limit on the available colour palette I'm afraid, and picture poems are awkward and time consuming to get right.

But here's a trick: select the text, click and hold on a notepad slot on the taskbar, and the text becomes white on black :)
