My door is slowly closing
for all the times
I can feel you thrust
for all the times
we never cared much
where it happened or for
honesty.
These days they call it
high agitation or impulse control
where down at the dispensary
my date of birth
is more important than
my last orgasm
or my last poem
but their automatic doors
slide open and shut
open and shut
in that grinding motion
Oh god
I need to move round in circles
Number 24 is ready
I'm coming!
My own door is closing
(is that me sitting there?)
Gosh do I have alot to say
till the dispatcher finally
begs me to f uck off home
with the purple pills
but yo,
I'm smiling already!

The cynicism or at least skepticism is implicit in the title, but you do such a marvellous job of insinuating sexual activity while seeming to speak of more mundane things.

The philosophy here is, I believe, similar to that in Burgess' The Clockwork Orange, where the author celebrates Alex's recovery of his innate hooliganism despite all the psychological 'improvement' he's been put through.

Thanks Prince. You did a pretty good job of capturing the dilemma.

Scepticism, but also hope for relief (from what they tend to call high agitation), isn't it. Uff. Your concision is blood freezing, Delta.
