Mr & Mrs Green

Mr and Mrs Green
lived on an apple tree,
they together happily hung
from a strong, sunny branch.

On a day like any other,
Mr Green felt a change
and became not like his name,
he jumped off the branch,
hit the ground hard
and ran a random path,
leaving his wife
crying her juice out.

Mrs Green stopped mourning
when she also felt the change,
she hit the ground hard
and ran a different path.
