I stood up as best as i could, while quickly scanning my body for any other mysterious injuries, finding nothing that hurt enough for me to care I walked up to the door on wobbly legs, I pulled on it expecting it to be locked I stumbled back as the door opened. My mouth nearly fell open in awe, the door was open, it didn't seem real that the monsters who had abducted me and done whatever they had done to me had been so careless as to leave the damn door open. I almost wished it was locked so it would calm my suspicions, but there was no time to be suspicious, an open door was an escape route and I would take whatever kind of escape route I could get. I poked my head out the door before stepping out of the room. I gasped and nearly fell to my knees, filling the hallway of what appeared to be some kind of hospital were dead bodies, at least hundreds stacked on top of each other, some pinned to walls with long swords. "Dear Lord.." I whispered to myself, I had seen my share of dead bodies but this...this was a massacre. She had no more time to react she bounded down the hallway as fast as she could while maneuvering around the bloody piles of gore that hardly resembled human bodies anymore. She couldn't keep herself from crying, partly because of the putrid smell of rotting flesh and partly because of all the death that had taken place, she had to keep reminding herself that these were the men who made her what she is, these were the men who had taken her life from her, she hated them. After what seemed like an eternity of passing through the bloody hallways she mad it to two big iron doors, after she slowly pushed them open she found herself in a reception-like room, she looked around and shook her head there seemed to be more bodies in this room than there was in the hallway, she almost had to climb the mounds of dead bodies to reach the exit, she couldn't keep from crying she mounded and let out a loud sob as her thumb slipped into an eye socket of one of the men, she gagged and nearly vomited when she removed her thumb and saw the red, blackish gore that now coated her thumb, she made no attempt to wipe it off and just kept making her way through to the door, her sobs growing louder every time her hand slipped and found it's way into some guts or gore of a dead mans face that she knew would forever haunt her nightmares, that is if she lived long enough to have nightmares. Finally her hand met the cold steel of the exit door she shoved it open with all her strength, which was no longer much after what she had just done. She stumbled out the door and found herself outside, in civilization, 'outside' seemed like nothing more than a distant memory she took in a deep breath savoring every moment of the sweet, fresh air. She almost laughed, but before she had time she heard the cry of a woman and the astonished gasps of many others, she then looked around to find at least a dozen people, normal people, staring at the bloody, bruised girl with red eyes, standing in the middle of the town with disheveled hair and clothes which were caked with blood and gore, she turned and discovered that the building she had escaped from was no hospital, she was standing in front of the freakin' city hall. She moaned under her breath, what in god's good name was she supposed to do now. Before she had time to think a young boy pointed at her and shouted "look mom, look!" "look at the girl!". His mother just stood their slack jawed. She looked around at the crowd that was now doubled, she rung her hands and prayed for the lord's forgiveness for what she now had to do, but she had no choice as the murmurs and whispers of the crowd grew she tilted her head back, closed her highs and let it all go.
