There is this blog I enjoy reading, called the Art Of Manliness. The other day I saw a post which shocked me, in that I would have never thought such things to exist. The post was about Male pictures from the 1860' to the 1930's which displayed male affection in a way which by our standards would be seen as an affection not between friends but rather between Sophocles and his boys.

That blog sucks. That particular entry was interesting. Well, the pictured were, didn't read the text- no patience for garbage. People are so schizophrenic with insecurity and anxiety these days that the touching would probably seem uncomfortable in a contemporary context. This reader has to use the word 'probably' when mentioning that discomfort as he himself doesn't feel it. Jack of Hearts answers the door with no pants on, with no regard for the gender of the person on the other side.

I love it. In india, adult men hold hands in public. In my country, adult men hug arm to arm while walking in public.
