Your mail last week has not yet arrived,
But I have already wallowed in the words
Only my lips, your tongue can enunciate.

I have heard them from the loud murmurs
Of the leaves, of the grasses that embrace
The sweetest doting of the breezy summer.

I have seen them in the bosoms of red tulips,
In the excitement of bees and hummingbirds
That make waiting bearable without despair.

My hands have not yet graced your last mail,
But I have already felt the hug of your words
On my pillow, on the crumples of my blanket.

I have seen them in the bosoms of red tulips,
In the excitement of bees and hummingbirds
That make waiting bearable without despair.

I like that. Finding love in the easily ignorable things in life.

The vanishing stars woke me up
From a dream of light and crystals
To paint the melon face of the moon
With your eyes that saw me first
When they slowly opened to see
The birth of colors in the morning,
With your angled nose that mistook
My sweat at noon as scent of jasmine
Or perfume from ripe citrus blossoms,
With your lips that only murmured
The same promise only I could hear
Even when you were so far or away.

I somewhat preferred #1 but both of these have grace and fluidity.

Now, we've crossed
The bluest of the ocean,
The struggle of the morning,
The testing waves of the wind,
Let's share our wild stories-
What you've touched,
What I've let you.

It's neither bloody nor bitter;
The citrus is orange.
You take off its peel
Like you uncover my skin,
Garters stretched,
Buttons loosened,
Layers of silk pulled.
You divide it into pieces
Like you separate my legs,
Willing Arms raised,
Belly touched,
Waiting waist gripped.
You eat the fruit
Like you feel my lips,
Hair pushed,
Shy cheeks held,
Side of my chin kissed.
Don't swallow the seeds;
You'll have more to peel.

I can't complain
When my coffee mug
Has traces of your lips
And droplets of your saliva.
I also can't complain
when the remote control
Has your thumbprints
And stains of your sweat.
I can't complain too
When my cotton pillows
Have your blonde hair
Uncurling to tickle.
I really can't complain
When the bathroom sink
Has your shaved stubble
Stubbornly clogging it.
I can't.
I just can't.
Why can't I?
Isn't your body mine?

I really liked #1 but couldn't quite connect with the others Miyako.
