I am writing a fanfiction piece (yeah, yeah...roll you eyes )

Is not the usual kiss and HEA.

Not that it matters.

Its more of....a darker genre. I begin by torturing the main characters and then bringing them back to life possessed and held bent on "feeding on the populous", which just so happen to be of the supernatural type or connected to it somehow.

Wanna read what I got so far go, here (http://trickyraven.ning.com/group/cursed?xg_source=activity)...or here (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7781283/1/Cursed) (for as long as it will be allowed)

Its unedited...and in the process of...by myself and a few friends. I am one of those who can't see their mistakes (not because I think I am perfect but because I just really don't see them):nopity:

:banghead:
My predicament is that I seem to have placed my characters in a situation they cant get out form an danger is coming...:nopity:

I need to take my time in here and review what I have so far...step back and see the journey from above to see where I am going with this.

I think I am going to leave them as they are....letting everyone struggle with "saving them" and end up having them sacrifice to defend the rest.

Thanks for letting me vent...the stress of it its killing me,

And to think, I started writing fanfiction to help me loosen up so I can get my creative juices flowing to continue on to my original. I now have like 10 fanfiction stories started...I am so sporadic and obsessive.

That reminds me of John Gardner's October Light which contained a novel within a novel. In the inner novel, the two main characters are trapped on an island that is crumbling. It looks like there is no way to escape, but then an alien spaceship comes by and picks them up just in time. The main novel doesn't use aliens, but the problems the characters face there aren't as odd either.

Chester Gould once trapped Dick Tracy in a hole with a giant boulder slowly sinking toward him. He wanted to save Tracy by drawing his own hand erasing the boulder, but that was rejected by his editor at the syndicate, who said that the readers would be unable to trust him after that and it would kill the strip. So he had to quickly come up with another way out.

YesNo, did Gardner rip that off from Life of Brian, or did the novel come first?
