My first Prize goes to:
“Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbart”, by Jesse Bullington

Short review on:
http://www.medievalists.net/2010/01/29/the-sad-tale-of-the-brothers-grossbart/

The year is 1364, and the brothers Grossbart have embarked on a naïve quest for fortune. Descended from a long line of graverobbers, they are determined to follow their family”s footsteps to the fabled crypts of Gyptland. To get there, they will have to brave dangerous and unknown lands and keep company with all manner of desperate travelers-merchants, priests, and scoundrels alike. For theirs is a world both familiar and distant; a world of living saints and livelier demons, of monsters and madmen.
The Brothers Grossbart are about to discover that all legends have their truths, and worse fates than death await those who would take the red road of villainy.

This was one of the weirdest Books I ever read…and I read quite a few strange ones.
I highly recommend this tour-de-force through medieval madness .

Have you read 'The story of the eye' or 'Lead night' ? very strange books, the eye is very very strange and I haven't been able to eat eggs since I read it.

No, didn't read it. Mh...shall I ? I love my daily hardboiled eggs and would
really miss the sweet tradition. Is 'Lead Night" about Eggs too ?

no Lead night is by Hans Henny Jahnn and it's about a man that walks into a new town and meets a few people that live there and the darkness of the night.

The Story of the eye is by Georges Bataille and is about a a couple and what they do together.... My friend read it too and she can eat eggs so maybe it's just me. And boiled is OK I guess, it's more the uncooked they use in the book. It was an interesting book and I am glad I read it even though I have a problem with eggs now.

Thanks a lot, I'll keep an eye out (oops...) for the stories.
