With respect to my grandmother who passed away in 2001 this day. And a shout-out goes to the stem cell researchers battling this son of a snitch at all of the top research institutions around the globe.

Metastatic Carcinoma

I am the most annoying thing
I do not breathe but I sure can sing
I whet your temper throughout the day
I make the kiddies laugh at you and say
“Why, mister, what is that on your thigh?”
But all you can do is shrug and reply
“Oh children have ye any faith?
It’s just fate passing me by.”

Cancer does suck though, I kind of like the idea of it as a sentient being.
