THE TRUE RAPTORS (666-I)

Eagles... falcons... condors: no -
the true raptors
have no feathers.
The true raptors
do full justice to the saying
"Appearances can be deceptive"
so they look like us BUT
watch out !
nothing is further from the truth
than a true raptor.
(According to the theory of "natural" selection
nothing is more "gifted" for evil )

True ra-p-tors
have no feathers
But they do have a huge
monstrous pair of wings-of-war
whose shadow
once open
covers the entire earth
with a sheet of blood

True raptors
attached to the worst of Earth
when confronted with the heights of the heart
are afraid to fly
(as if they were worth the worry…)
they are limited to crawling - crawling
& wallowing in the swamp
which, thanks to them,
the world is about to become...

True raptors do not know how TO BE without having
as a leech cannot live without blood
... watch out!
Nothing is further from the truth
than a true raptor...

I would guess 666 would be satan and I ... God maybe?? Or his son Jeos?

Hey Bar! Bertoldt Brecht poetry too has a strong flavor of what you call morals.:rolleyes5:

Jack & Bar : But here the ideology underlying the poem is more theological-mystical than political . Certain myths about the end of humanity (or the end of humanity in the human species?) and the expression of evil :flare:are shared by the major religions of the world, but worded differently according to geographical and cultural context.
In this case it's about Christian eschatology (I'm not a Christian but I know fairly ancient and modern Christianity, its esotericism etc.) whose content is partially replicated in other religions such as Hinduism-the Kali Yuga, etc..

Back to morals : in short for me poetry is and will remain a weapon.Among other things of course - perhaps because my martial arts background ?!?!?!
