Breaky Fasty

Underneath the sapphire sky
Sail across lake of orange juice
To the shore of muffin bushes
Crunch the path of cornflakes
Climb the tower of newspaper
Leading to the milk cascade
Look out to locate the Temple
Kneel at the altar of marmalade
Worship Toast, Bacon and Eggs
Punt along river of golden honey
To the jungle of the coffee trees
Lay beneath one as bitter nectar
Slides down glistening emerald leaf
To drip gently onto your tongue

Slowly drift back to dreams

Love the imagery and the succinct yet direct focus of breakfast foods with the quotidian beauty of nature. Simple yet profound like poetry should be. Good job :hurray:

To me it reads as something at a crossroad of recipes and prayers, as something that tastes good as it "drips slowly onto my tongue!"
