The vague likeness of man emerges
From the rolling froths and waves,
Without a nose and with sewn lips,
And comes toward my silhouette,
The lifeless shadow at late noon,
To smell my neck and to devour.

Nightmare #2

It is not my lascivious tongue
That begs to lick and prods me
To peel the shell of the boiled egg,
My late lunch among the bubbles,
But my rough fingers that desire
Its softness as hot as the fire
That hardens its tasteless white
And yellow, salty and sweet,
Its surface as smooth as silk
Before my dry throat swallows
And its yolk slips and descends
Then explodes half-way inside.

Number 1 sounds like a bad date. In fact, get a little bit of scotch in ol'Jack of Hearts and he's your man.

Number 2 is both eggshaped and oddly sexual.

The nightmare theme is alive and well so far...

As a non-anglo I find the vocabulary interesting...but I strongly advise you to consult a good dictionary of dreams. You need to dissolve such ghosts.

Nightmare #3

Acupuncturists' hands feast on my body
And turn needles to prick and puncture,
Foodies stab me with their toothpicks
After a lunch of medium-cooked venison,
Excited Grandmothers queue to pierce
Their pins into what are left of my skin.

Nightmare #4

Now that I feed you
The flesh of my limbs,
The meat of my torsos,
My bones, their tendons,
What else do you want
To gobble, to devour,
My heart or my soul?

You are definitely in the land of strange dreams (I love these kind so much, I hate to give them the connotation of nightmares).

I especially like #4 for the way the one word, "torsos" makes it nightmarish above all the other words.

Keep dreaming.

Nightmare #6

You can only wake me up
If the scent of the morning
Kisses my breath, my lips,
The threads of my pillow
Wiggle into silk worms
In this bed, in this coffin.

These are all real nightmares, Auntie. All my nightmares are always dark, too dark sometimes for poetry. Thanks for reading.
