Fallen Leaf

A dying crimson blush
as all life begins to fade
while reaching to the hours of shade
first giving way to fever's flush.

Leaving behind spring's vernal lush
none can resist the change seasons bade
a dying crimson blush
as all life begins to fade.

The wind whispers a reverent shush
between life and death beauty is made
to this art Nature's paint is laid
in the twilight all falls to hush
a dying crimson blush.

Muse,

the meaning of the whole is lost on this reader. But some of lines taken individually are really striking. Especially liked:

Leaving behind spring's vernal lush

The wind whispers a reverent shush

And the repeated and concluding:

a dying crimson blush.

Thank you, this one really doesn't have any secret hidden meanings, at least not that I am aware of. It was literally inspired by a single leaf. I was at a loss as to what to write about, and had this song stuck in my head that kept inferring with my thoughts, when I reached up to scratch my head and pulled from my hair a dried leaf, which still had one single streak of red along the edge of it. So this really is just an apperception of nature's beauty, and the changing of the seasons, the way in which even in death beauty can be found.
