COUNTING FINGERTIPS

Swirl of blankets and your blue dress,
fingertips pressed, nail and flesh
counting one by one with five to do;
a quiet dream I had of you.


The third line is a mystery to me, but as I've said in the past, I do like mysteries. The blue dress and the blankets swirling together (what beautiful imagery) and the second half of the second line make me think of nails digging into flesh as climax approaches. So exactly how quiet the dream was, I'm not sure. The neighbours might disagree.

Am I seeing sex everywhere? Should I see a shrink?
