Yeah, that's a bummer. The Andy Griffith Show is arguably the best sitcom of all time, at least until Don Knotts left (it may have been The *Andy Griffith* Show, but Knotts really was the star--once he left and it went to color, it's unwatchable as far as I'm concerned). I grew up watching it with my late grandmother and still love watching it. It brings about a huge feeling of nostalgia for me, which is ironic considering how old the show is and me only being 25. Any episode focusing on Barney is an excellent one. The one where he's conned by the sweet old lady into buying the crappy car is probably my favorite.

Barney Fife is my favorite, too.

I like Andy Griffith, but I still remember when Aunt Bee was dying and she asked them all to come see her and they didn't.
