Just interested to know how many people use it, or have sometime in the past.
And if so how often and how? I mean do you spend hours browsing titles and trying something based on a review, suggestion, recommendation, or even roll of the dice.
Any bad experiences? Any chance discoveries that you feel compelled to share?

I used iTunes regularly for a long time, but recently I've discovered Spotify and haven't yet looked back. As to iTunes however I am not sure what part of iTunes you mean, the media player used to organize your music library or the client to buy music with. Because I can only comment on the media player part, since I don't usually buy music.
As a media player I always found it better than Windows Media Player although it's sometimes a bit buggy. The main reason I used it was because of me having an iPod and that requires the use of iTunes, I didn't mind though and never thought of going back to Windows Media Player.
When it comes to it being a client to buy music with I have no personal experience but there are loads of people who use iTunes to buy music. I personally have never thought about using it to discover new artists although that might be a good idea. However, I recently went touring around the amazing library that Spotify offers and came across a band called Paper Lions, especially their song 'Travelling' is amazing!
Anyhow, if you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask and I hope I have been of any help to you!

I use iTunes all the time, both as a music player and as a store to buy music. As Ric said, it can be buggy but for the most part, I've been pretty happy with it. I don't really spend hours looking for new artists but I do usually check out the singles of the week, they are free downloads from new artists or upcoming albums and span a varity of genres. I have discovered some great bands through those free singles. Not all of them are winners but it's a fairly easy and lazy way to be introduced to something I wouldn't normally have heard.

I use iTunes, but but buy all my music from Amazon. It seems to be cheaper.

Interesting RicMisc - just using the media player as an organizer. I like the idea of Spotify but haven't investigated yet. I'll do it in a minute. As to which aspect, what I was sort of getting at was the idea of a one stop shop where all entertainment needs are available at once in a mega-store (I'd forgotten that Amazon provide similar service because of all the other physical stuff they have on offer).
I suppose like any comprehensive website you can't spend too long there before becoming overwhelmed with the choices. Using it for sampling what's new is a good thing. I can spend an hour reading titles and reviews without actually giving anything a go while I try to work out what I'm in the mood for (something sour and disheartening by the end of it perhaps?)
It's a good point Mutatis, pricing being a factor. I wonder how many people would choose a physical cd/dvd/book over a digital download. I usually will if it's in a physical shop at the moment I'm there. Something about the actual feel of holding something I suppose.

I don't really browse it anymore but iPods are one of the greatest music players ever created thus I have to use it.

Oh yes, those are excellent too. I've actually discovered some great artists through NPR's All Songs Cnsidered podcasts.

I simply love the ITunes University. So many free lectures from great professors to listen/watch.
