I personally that a voice is a voice and a request is a voice that must be heard and taken into account and so by order of logic and courtesy a wish must be granted regardless what others think so long as it is not impacting on others.
In other words once a request has been made , within boundary, then one must oblige is the norms are of any civilised society.
