All the dissertation books I've seen so far focus on sciences.

I agree with you. Many books are associated with structure and tips for writing dissertation.

A lot of them discuss methods of research and what to do with your research but it's all scientific research.

THIS (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Coursework-Projects-Dissertations-Literary-Studies/dp/0582784557/ref=sr_1_8?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1342815118&sr=1-8) is the book that I bought in preparation for my Literature dissertation. I'm not sure if it's available in the USA, though.

It did give me some decent advice, but a lot of the content just seemed like common sense.
