~A Forest of Dreams~

I was a tree inside the forest of dreams
And you were a moonbeam laid on top of me

And inside this truth of a thing
Were your eyes with thunderous clouds

Against the mist of the rocky cove
As your mind looked out to sea

And I grew restless inside your fairer being
And sprouted out against the highest cliff you see.

Then when the storm came
I whipped and lashed against the brush of your skies

And grew perilous within the soil that held
Until I finally fell from a thunderous clap of light

That split me in two
And burnt and bristled my soul

Then you came up to me
With your whispering wind

And made love to me
Seeing the new seed begin.
