I think only a writer can really understand the anguish that occurs when he or she realizes they are losing their memory.

I've been seiously writing for forty-three years, and I recently discovered that I forget sometimes where I submit or post stories or enter contests. Twice I have entered contests forgetting that I had already posted the stories involved.

So perhaps the best thing for me to do is start making a list of stories I have posted and the date.

It still doesn't change the fact that I feel anguish knowing that I am losing my memory.

I have the same problem, but I am nineteen, and mine is due to the fact that all of my youth is hazy because most of it I have been stoned or drunk. I can relate.

I'm a bit older than Alexander having children his age, but I have the problem as well. I write everything down or I know I'll forget it in a few days. I don't drink much nor use drugs so I can't use that as an excuse.

Instead of making a list, you can go through your old posts to check the date. Just open your profile, click on Statistics, and then Find all posts by Jassy Melson. I hope that helps; I have very bad memory problems myself.
