I read a note stuck to the wall
Now and again by chance,
And what strikes most clear is the date scawled
Which never fails to hold my glance
Into long consideration of the days heaved
Between then and the present; how little their
Meaning and how time is so cleaved
In mostly unnoticed bundles which only bare
Consideration with key event, or mere chance.
