All by myself,
In a land of no joy.

Trying to find,
a meaningful boy.

But with no such hope,
I crawl into space,

Hoping that someday,
I'll find him someplace.

I don't know what a "meaningful" boy is nor "crawl into space", but I think I get the general idea of someone looking for a friend. I liked the heartfelt brevity and the rhyme.

Thanks :) I meant it to be a poem about a girl waiting for the right boy.
What I meant by "meaningful" was a guy who actually meant something to the girl. Someone who was extra special and who loved her. As for "crawl into space", in my poem, the girl pulled back from love because she hadn't found the right one, so she crept back into darkness or so to speak. I meant it more emotionally than literally.

I took it a bit more intensity then that. An old friend's uncle once told me "You know you're in love with a girl when you see her face on everyone."

That's the sort of melodramatic passion I got from it. Even if the line is somewhat simple and not too descriptive. Maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic again, who knows.

On first read I wasn't a big fan of the last line. But after reading the piece a couple of more times it started flowing to my eyes a bit smoother and reminded me of those cute nursery rhyme styles. Of which I'm not big on, but couldn't do without.

Thank you Revolte,
No i sense that you are right as well. In fact, it might be that kind of poem where it has a hidden meaning and a person has to interpret it for themselves, but I was trying to go with a broken heart/ someone waiting for a soul mate kind of thing. To be honest, that is the first poem I have ever written. So the nursery rhyme style is all I know how to do. But glad you liked it! :)
