Old childrens poetry

Hi, does anyone out there recall this poem/story or who know who wrote it? My mother recited it to me as a child. From memory it says the following;

'Anna belle tripped through mud and mire to gather sticks for her grannies fire
it soon grew dusk beneath the trees and down fell snowflakes as big as bees, to find some shelter Annabelle tried until a large hollow oak she spied and as quick as a thought she hopped inside'
