I deeply appreciate this. It came about after I heard about the apprehension of the alleged self-confessed murderer. I needed to write something to vent my sadness and outrage, but it pretty quickly came to me that any effort I made to imagine and attempt to represent the actual event would be an obscene presumption. What I've presented is as close as I could get to the moment of that poor child's death.
