I have a homework to do regarding The French Lieutenant's Woman, could you help me ? I'm completely not into literature at all, but thing is that I have to pass it..so here are the questions:

1) How does the actor play with previctorian connections and that is the connection of the last scenarios ?

2) 3 endings proposed by author, and which is more probable according to the author ?

3) Elements of gothic romance in book ?

4) Why is it significant that there were more woman than men at the time?

5) Why is Earnestina embarrassed by her sexual thoughts?

6) Who is the dark heroina in book ?

7) How do we call a novel with such authorial digressions as the ones made in this book ?

8) Why were women who enjoyed sex perceived in Victorian era as insane/degenerate ?

9) Why is Charles meeting with positive revealing of the Victorian double morality?

10) Why is it important that the sex between Sara and Charles is reported to have lasted 90 seconds ?

Could you help me ? I really need this, but unfortunately no time to read the book, even if i wanted to..

Sorry, but we're not a homework site for people who don't want to be bothered. Give the book a try; you may find yourself wanting to read it once you've started. Even if not, you'll survive.

Seeing the movie first can help in getting through a book. Helped me with Lord of the Rings.
