Another Southern writer discovered! I am enjoying this book although the style edges at over-wrought but when he is at his best, he is excellent: sheer poetry.
I liked this quote:
“You get a little moody sometimes but I think that's because you like to read. People that like to read are always a little ****ed up.”
It is very poignant, one of those coming-of-age books that depict sorrows of childhood so very touchingly. I am on Page 244, almost half way through and I only started it yesterday.
