Enchanted Love

They seized upon one another in the galloping light,
Breath to breath, whole heartily
Clutching the moment;
It being a prize of joy
To the young loving hearts,
Compelled by what they saw
Shimmering in the other's grasp.

And that day
They saw the sun and moon
Gasp and overflow
With wonder.
And seen greeted by doves
They incarnated as one,
Aroused by their own love.

From A Distance

From a distance I saw
Him on the mountain
Tempting the Lord

And as I went down the mountain
Saw I the Lord
In fasting and prayer

Lift up his eyes to heaven
Thanking God for his answer

And I saw an angel
Come down from the cloud
In breathless Spirit to the Lord

And they communed for a while
And the mountain lit with joy.
