On June 5-6 Venus will transit the Sun. This will not happen again for 105.5 years. The total transit time will be nearly 7 hours duration. During that time period the distance between the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies will shrink by more than 2 million miles. It may not seem like much but in a few billion years it starts to add up.
