A raspy voice
Beckoned me to join
With hands that were reaching
Up from the earth

A hooded ghost!
From the bowel of hell,
Scratchy voices murmuring
Something obscure

My eyes perceived upward
Into the pale sky,
As lunatics
With hollow eyes,
Encamped around my soul

They taunted me with whispering
As I looked deep into their beady eyes,
Having seen no light in them
I became frantic

Running up the harrowed hill
Into the setting sun,
A night alone
With the haunted vision.

This is an interesting, gothic scene, but I feel as if it's a fragment of something larger. This is the kind of content one could make into an excellent ballad. As is, it feels a bit incomplete, even though there's some good stuff here, especially "encamped around my soul" is a good image.

It's about the Amityville house I visited one day. Since I live around the area, I stopped by to take a look. Even though they claim it be a hoax, the house is still haunted. After all, many people died in that house in a murder rampage. So I got the idea writing about it.

Maybe I'll expound on it more down the road. But right now it's just a little poem of what I felt.

Thanks Morpheus
