A slumber, a taxidermy on the tomb by the sea-
I was tan and naked, you were in sobs and black.
The fume of whiskey, the scent of my neck,
The stench of bones numbed us like ether.
My sweat with yours, your fixed arms on mine
On that coldest Winter, you and I hibernated.
Still gargoyles above us, fanged angels watched
As we broke bottles into razors and dull shards.
Slits on my wrists wet your lips, fed your tongue,
And I became my internal fire of flames and sulfur.
Intoxicated and asleep, you were pale and naked
When I dissected the raven with my nails and bites.
I started from your curled toes, then heels and soles,
Slowly going up to your dead ankles and angled shins.
My breasts dripping alluvium, spoiled milk, and slime,
My thighs wet from pus and blood, I cut you open.
