do you have a system or is it totally random?
I myself has no idea how I actually do it..I think it can happen either before the story, or just after I finished....sometimes I am not keen on having one at all.... haha.

Short stories are easy. I don't write novels, so I don't know. As for poetry, it's a guessing game. Sometimes it comes to you and sometimes you just say what the heck did I just write? LOl

I pray for inspiration, but it doesn't make much difference, if anyone starts reading it. The title shouldn't repel readers, but i don'[t expect anything better than that.

I always write the title immediately after i finish the (short) story. Most of time the title is there to give more weight to a specific part of the story.

My titles tend to come after I have started to write the story, or at least have the frame. I go by the model of "let come what come" - but when I get a title I find it very hard to change it, even if I don't like it.
