The Scarlet Letter was thrown at me on my frst day of school. I didnt want to read it, had no desire to read it, but as a class project, i had to read it. I didnt enjoy the book at all. I really dont enjoy things that are required. Hawthorne has a beautiful talent, but he needs to get to the point and stop beating around the bush. IT had a lot of "junk" in there. I hate it when people tell me what to think, but yet i hate it when i have to read 3 chapters to find one little answer. I dont recommend this book to anyone who just enjoys reading, it will scare you for life. This is a book that is VERY hard to get into. Hawthorne is a excellent author, and i just think that its not an enjoyable book!
