Deprived by images
With colors and signs,
I tear the empty notes,
My mouth then wets and bites
And swallows piece by piece,
But paper does not kill.
Betrayed by metaphors
Vague like a bare abstract,
I drain all the staining black,
Stir them into the thickest blue,
And sip the concoction drop by drop,
But ink does not harm.
Abandoned by words
Flirting with other meanings,
I impale my staring eyes,
Jab and pierce my clogged nostrils,
And stab deep my eardrums in and out-
Pen is sharp.
