A Vision of The Sky

And there amid the darkness of the sky
Was a remorse to the stars,
That appeared to release their shine
Like a glower on the earth.

And within I saw a future vision
A fantastic light that plummeted to earth,
And a great fear fell upon man
As to what it was.

And the believers saw a Holy Angel
That of a mother lifting her right hand
Announcing, "Peace be with you.
Your Lord, Our Lord has returned."

And she was taken up into the depths of the sky
Which was now strangely arrayed,
In forms of fluorescence never seen
As though ghostly from another realm.

And we fell on our hearts from the fright,
But then saw a host of angels,
An innumerable number coming down
One for each soul saved.

And we were lifted up
One with each angel.
While this was going on
The earth was in great shock.

For the damned did not have an angel
To lift them away,
And the darkness was getting deep
And the sun dim in its light.

As the masses wailed at their misfortune
Knowing this their end,
And the sky held perfectly still
As a gloom gathered hold.

And the judgments begun of the young and old
As the book sealed from the beginning of time
Divulged its secrets
Before the heavens and earth.

And those judgments came to past
And all then left was for everlasting.
As I saw a clover of doves perched in a tree,
And I saw the most wondrous light
Coming up next to me.

And all the eye could see
Was the glorious realm of the heavenly.

It's too early in the morning for me Shadow! My comment on a previous poem by you applies here with the greatest respect.

Oh ok. I guess I'll have to check out your comments. A puzzle but I understand you haven't had your tea? or coffee. Australia is it? Anyway, thanks Delta.

lol. I've had one cup of tea and its now 6.40am. What I mean is how this would be represented in a context to believers, which as far as I'm concerned would go down particularly well. It's difficult otherwise for me to review it as it does become sermonized and I believe I commented like this before. Do you read your work to others just out of interest?

No I never read my stuff to others. Funny thing is my memory is not all that great LOL. I think I memorized a few of my poems. The rest I draw blanks. That's why I thought acting was not something I should pursue.

I know I promised not to bring another of my angel poems on the site LOL. I guess I broke that promise. Maybe it's because I forgot my promise. Anyhow...

A couple of people that I know do bring my spiritual poems to their churches. I can only imagine what they say LOL.

Hope you enjoy your trip!

The only trip I'm about to take is to work... Well I guess you're answering my question. Your poems are being read in churches and I guess that is what I mean by context. I wouldn't dream of stopping you from posting them here Shadows! You said you can only imagine what they say, you mean you didn't get feedback? Are you crazy??? lol

I did get feedback on them. They loved them. But you know how church people love anything that glories God's name. Thankfully I don't post most of my spiritual one's on here, or they'd string me up.

I did not know you lived there.

So you don't think the feedback is objective? Don't be too sure about that Shadows, even church people have taste you know! As for being strung up I doubt it. Perhaps less reviews...

Oh I think they are objective, though some more than others. One could say "I love God" and they will kiss your feet. It's like an emotional high for them. A drug perhaps, but I won't question them. Though I do know a few who are in religion perhaps for that feeling of self worth. Maybe they lack that in the real world.

As for the reviews, yeah you're right of course. Lately I'm in this rut and I can't get up. Meaning it's either a love poem or a spiritual banter. Ah, the curse is on me!
