Under The Spell

This is the prophecy of love foretold,
From the burning brights in the heavens.
This the story of pure love.
Not the longing after charms,
Nor of deceitful desires.

But born in the faith of loving.
For the other - a oneness in spirit,
In God, in life, in truth,
To be faithful servants anew.

And thus I was led to the alter,
After begging the question to your ears:
Will you take I as your lawful husband?
Which you asserted, "yes will I dear"!

And so we laid in a secluded perch,
With you and I,
And the faithful witness of love
Watching over us,
Guarding our marriage.

And so before the full moon we gaze
And thrust ourselves in outward passion,
Undressing each desire.

From the very beginning
We have been brought here by a Spirit,
To love and nurture each the other's bodies;
But more so the spirit!

For when the body leaves,
The spirit ascends
To the godly realms of heaven,
And the communion will flow
Through each other.

And of course to God,
We are one before Him;
One flesh, one spirit.
